Since 1898, Bechtel has completed more than 25,000 extraordinary projects across 160 countries on all seven continents. They operate through four global businesses: Infrastructure; Nuclear, Security & Environmental; Oil, Gas & Chemicals; and Mining & Metals.
After extremely strong competition, APT won a contract with Bechtel to supply full Russian technical translation services for a large well-known oil and gas project.
To supply highly technical translation over a three-year
Ensure all translation work was approved at the first review stage
Support all work with an in-house desktop publishing team to work with a variety of software, including AutoCAD
We provided a dedicated project management team to include a Russian national as project coordinator
All translators were vetted and tested before any translation was produced and a specialised team was assembled in Moscow
Our quality assurance procedure included technical editors reviewing translated content
We provided in-house desktop publishing and AutoCAD facilities
Successful translation results, with 94% of documentation approved at the first review stage
More than 1,500 technical AutoCAD drawings translated
The contract was subsequently extended
Our accuracy levels led to more oil and gas companies and their suppliers approaching us to produce their translation work
With the contract now complete, further technical translation requests have since been received for other project work with Bechtel
